| 1/3 Cup | Sifted Flour |
| 1/8 Tsp. | Salt |
| 2 | Eggs (separated) |
| 1/2 Cup | Sifted Confectioners' Suger |
| 1/2 Tsp. | Vanilla |

Sift flour and salt together. |

Combine egg yolks and sugar; beat until thick and lemon-colored. |

Fold in the dry ingredients. |

Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter with the vanilla. |

Put batter into pastry bag filled with plain tube. |

Force through tube onto baking sheet covered with heavy paper. |

Sprinkle lightly with confectioners' sugar. |

Bake at 325F, 12 to 18 minutes. |

Remove to cooling racks at once. Fore double ladyfingers, immediately brush bottoms of baked fingers with slightly beated egg white and press together in pairs. |
