| 2 pints | Milk |
| 4 | Eggs |
| 1 Pound | Sugar |
| 1/2 tsp | Vanilla |
| 1 1/2 tsp. | Cornstarch |
| 2 - 4 tbsp. | Liqueur (OPTIONAL) |
| 250 ml | Pear Juice or Puree or |
| 375g | Cut Fruit |

Beat sugar and eggs until thick and creamy. |

Heat milk to near boiling. Mix the hot milk, vanilla and cornstarch that was dissolved in a little cold water. Add liqueur if desired. |

Bring mixture to a boil while stirring constantly. |

Add egg and sugar mixture and cook over low heat for 1 to 2 minutes until a custard-like consistency is achieved. |

The pears may be incorporated into the custard either in the juice form or puree or cut into tiny cubes. |

Put mixture into freezer until icicles form, remove, beat vigorously with a wooden spoon or electric mixer and return to freezer. |
