We usually double this recipe.

| 1/2 Cup | Butter |
| 1/2 Cup | Shortening |
| 1/3 Cup | Sugar |
| 2 Tsp. | Water |
| 2 Tsp. | Vanilla |
| 2 Cup | Flour |
| 1/2 Cup | Walnuts, chopped |

Cream butter. Then add shortening and sugar. Mix well. |

Add water and vanilla. |

Add flour, then nuts. Mix well. |

Chill for 3-4 hours or overnight. |

Use teaspoon to scoop out dough form into 1 inch balls. |

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 F for 15 minutes. (DO NOT BROWN) |

Once cookies have cooled, roll each ball in powdered sugar. |
